The Salary:
£25,000 to £27,000 DOE
The Job Role:
It is our pleasure to represent our client’s growing organisation as they recruit a Lending Officer into their thriving team. This is the perfect role for candidates that already have experience working within a finance environment especially within loans and underwriting.
As Lending Officer, the successful candidate will enjoy a seriously fast-paced role. This role will be super varied, working to tight SLAs and strict attention to detail will be necessary at all times. We would love to hear from candidates that thrive working in a busy and pressurised environment.
Working in a small team of three, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties;
* Managing a case-load of loan applications
* Reviewing loan applications using strict criteria and tools
* Communicating with Applicants via telephone, email and letter
* Interviewing Applicants to assist with the decision process
* Working out calculations
* Accurately inputting information using the company CRM system
* Approving or declining applications – explaining these decisions to Applicants
* General administrative duties as required
* Assisting the finance department with setting up payments
* Working closely with other departments of the organisation
We would love to hear from candidates that have the following skills and experience;
* Experience working in a finance related role
* Numerically strong
* Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
* Confidence using IT including the full suite of MS Office
* Confident working under pressure
* Able to work to strict SLAs, KPIs, and deadlines
* Strong ability to make good decisions
* Excellent administrative experience
* Able to communicate with a range of people including customers and stakeholders
* Experience working as a Loan Officer or an Underwriter is advantageous but not essential
