Responsibilties
To be responsible for the efficient and effective management, control, financial systems and administration of the facility and its staff.
To be responsible for implementing the services Child Protection Policy in relation to use of the stadium and its facilities.
To assist in the development of sports in the borough in liaison with other council departments, sports clubs, sport governing bodies, Sport England and any other associated organisations.
To manage, instruct, and advise, the appropriate people and/or organisations on the cleaning, maintenance of the grounds, equipment and sports facilities in relation to the stadium and paddling pools.
To ensure that the track and all sports equipment is maintained and correctly positioned and complies with the relevant governing body for that particular sport and any relevant guidance for health and safety requirements.
To be responsible for mechanical equipment, including the tractor, trailer and associated implements and ensure that they are serviced and properly maintained.
Requirements
An understanding of Leisure Management/Sports Development and it’s role in Local Government
An in-depth understanding of Leisure and Sports Development operations and delivery in Public Sector with demonstrable experience in developing effective stakeholder relationships and partnerships
Awareness of the issues facing the leisure industry post-covid, particularly in relation to service redesign, efficiencies and service delivery
Experience in generating interest and increasing participation in sports by being involved in initiatives that inspire people to take part
Knowledge and experience of capital project management from initiation to closure
Contract
Initial 3 month to 6 month contract with the opportunity to extend
PAYE via Umbrella
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (Hybrid Position)
