Job Title: Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Hygiene Engineer
Location: Newcastle, Tyne and West - Covering North East region.
Salary: £25k - £36k + Benefits + Company Vehicle

Professional water treatment company, who provide the full range of water hygiene / legionella services, is currently recruiting for an experience Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Hygiene engineer to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will be undertaking a split compliance / risk assessing role and will have experience both undertaking legionella risk assessments, as well as monthly monitoring / sampling duties. Candidates will have good access to the North East, including; Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Durham, Darlington, Hartlepool, Bishop Auckland, South Shields, Hexham, Washington, Whitley Bay, Alnwick, Consett, Ashington and the surrounding areas.

Experience / Qualifications:
- City & Guilds or WmSoc in Legionella Risk Assessing.
- Hands on experience working as a Legionella Risk Assessor / Consultant.
- Experience risk assessing on Hot and Cold Water Systems.
- Working knowledge of L8 guidelines and compliance tasks.
- Full UK Drivers License.

Duties will include a split of legionella risk assessing and compliance duties including;
- Conducting legionella risk assessments on hot and cold domestic water systems.
- Using handheld PDAs to complete report.
- Reviewing existing risk assessments
- Producing schematics of hot & cold-water services
- Temperature monitoring.
- Water sampling.
- Inspections of cold and heated water storage tanks.
- Showerhead descales.
- Calorifiers flushing.
- Cleans & Disinfections on storage tanks.
- Cooling tower cleans and disinfections.
- TMV inspection, testing and servicing.
- CWST inspections.
- Basic remedial and installation works on hot and cold water systems.
- Updating site logbooks.
