Eventus Legal are seeking a Legal Secretary to join a highly successful Employment and Litigation team in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear. This is a permanent job that can be worked on a full-time or part-time basis. The successful Legal Secretary will be rewarded with great benefits including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, hybrid working and flexibility over hours.
Role responsibilities
Due to expansion, the Legal Secretary will be providing secretarial and administrative support to the Litigation and Employment team, encompassing such duties as:
* Opening files on practice management system
* Obtaining ID, conducting AML searches and media checks etc.
* Preparing prescribed forms
* Preparing documentation relevant to client matters
* Creating paying in slips and requisitioning payments
* Greeting visitors to the office
* Corresponding with clients and/or other law firms by email, letter, or telephone
* Photocopying
* Preparing invoices
* Closing files on practice management system
Person specification
Applications are sought from Legal Secretaries with prior experience. Ideally you will have experience in Litigation and/or employment but this is not essential. You will have excellent audio typing skills and will be used to working in an environment involving court work.
