Key Responsibilities:
- Craft letters, correspondence, and legal documents with precision and efficiency, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing exceptional service and courteous assistance.
- Leverage our firm's IT systems proficiently to support your duties effectively.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to facilitate seamless workflow and client service.
- Handle client inquiries promptly and professionally via various communication channels.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and case details using our DPS database.
- Establish and maintain well-organized filing systems for both physical and digital documents.
- Ensure strict adherence to all aspects of Lexcel quality standards.
- Coordinate and attend meetings, taking minutes and managing documentation as required.
- Monitor and report on the condition and performance of office equipment and software.
- Perform photocopying and manage client files, including opening, closing, and storage.
- Manage postal duties, including sending and receiving mail and packages.
- Maintain and update fee earners' diaries to schedule appointments and deadlines effectively.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance and refine your legal knowledge and administrative skills.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a legal secretary or similar role within a law firm or legal environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures is desirable.
