Description:
An exciting opportunity for a qualified professional who is able to practice law in England and Wales. You will need to have experience in company and commercial law. Previous in-house experience is an advantage but not essential for committed candidates who are willing to learn. You will also ideally have experience in working across a variety of jurisdictions and practice areas.
Negotiating and advising on a wide range of commercial transactions.
Reviewing and/or preparing a wide range of contractual documentation, including sale and purchase agreements, IP licenses, marketing agreements, confidentiality agreements and similar.
Support to other functional departments (human resources, finance, marketing, service etc) on legal issues affecting these areas.
Managing external advisers where appropriate, ensuring service levels and value for money
Advising on changes in relevant law and regulation and providing training to support business activities.
Supporting compliance activities
Having an awareness of the Company’s policy framework and how it is implemented (in some cases, it will be the responsibility of the Legal Counsel to monitor and uphold that framework) This role will support the Head of Legal and General affairs in an EMEA operation on a Part-tme basis. Which will either be 3 or 4 days per week dependant upon the ability and seniority of the applicant
