Description:
We are looking to recruit a Legal Cashier for a permanent opportunity with a well regarding law firm based in Mansfield.
The successful individual will manage the firm’s financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal finance, exceptional attention to detail, and a proven track record of managing financial processes within a legal setting.
Responsibilities:
· Process all financial transactions related to the firm's operations, including client transactions, disbursements, and expenses.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting standards and legal regulations.
· Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
· Prepare and process client bills in a timely and accurate manner.
· Monitor and manage the firm's petty cash transactions.
· Collaborate with internal teams to address any financial discrepancies and provide support in audits.
· Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and legal finance practices.
Requirements:
· Proven experience as a Legal Cashier in a law firm setting.
· Thorough understanding of legal accounting principles and regulations.
· Proficient in relevant accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Familiarity with relevant legal software and technology.
Qualifications:
· Professional certification in accounting or finance is a plus.
· Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Legal Cashier
