Salary: £34,492 - £41,140 per annum
Permanent, Full-Time
Start Date: September 2026

ACS Staffing Solutions are delighted to be supporting a well-established and highly regarded education provider with the recruitment of a Lecturer – Multi Skills to join their Construction department from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional or existing lecturer to join a supportive and forward-thinking environment, helping to develop the next generation of learners within the construction industry. The role would particularly suit individuals with a background in brickwork, carpentry or multi-trades who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and supporting students to succeed.

The client is very open to considering candidates coming directly from industry who are looking to move into education and training, with support available for teaching qualifications where required.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality teaching and training across Multi Skills and construction-related subjects
• Support, assess and monitor student progress and achievement
• Act as a course tutor for learner groups where required
• Deliver practical demonstrations and workshop-based learning
• Participate in curriculum development to meet industry demand
• Maintain accurate learner records and administrative documentation
• Support internal verification, quality assurance and audit processes
• Promote safeguarding, health & safety and positive learner behaviour at all times
• Attend curriculum meetings, open events and industry engagement activities
• Contribute positively to the wider department and college environment

The Ideal Candidate
• Previous experience working within the construction industry, ideally within brickwork, carpentry or multi-trades
• Level 3 trade qualification or equivalent
• Strong understanding of construction industry practices and health & safety regulations
• Passionate about supporting and motivating learners
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Able to work flexibly and collaboratively within a busy educational environment
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one

Desirable
• Previous teaching or training experience
• Assessor and/or IQA qualification
• Experience teaching learners aged 14–18
• Degree level qualification within a relevant subject area
