Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Lecturer in STEM Engineering at our Chichester campus. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £26,189 - £40,839 (i.e. £10,475.60 - £16,335.60 FTE) per annum.

The Lecturer in STEM Engineering role:

Are you an experienced and passionate engineering professional looking to inspire the next generation of engineers? Chichester College is recruiting a part-time Lecturer to teach a range of Engineering subjects at Level 1, 2 & 3. You will join our vibrant faculty and help shape our students' future careers.

You will be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in Engineering and have relevant industrial experience in the subject. Experience of working or training in a range of environments is essential.

We are particularly keen to hear from applicants with experience in electronics, mechatronics, microprocessors and Programmable Logic Circuits.

Lecturing experience is not essential as we will provide full training, coaching and development.

14.8 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Key Responsibilities of our Lecturer in STEM Engineering:

To undertake teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed

To ensure that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner

To undertake administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters

To take an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each

To develop curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity

To understand personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding

Keep up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector

To participate in marketing activities and promote the College for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment

Our ideal Lecturer in STEM Engineering should have the below skills and experience:

Relevant industrial and commercial subject experience

Level 3 (or equivalent) in related subject

Level 2 literacy and numeracy

Extensive working Knowledge in Engineering or related subject

Microsoft Office applications

An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups
