Hours: Full-Time, 37 Hours Per Week

Contract: Temporary

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Carpentry & Joinery professional or qualified lecturer to play a key role in developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople. You will deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and assessment across a range of carpentry and joinery programmes while supporting learners to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver high-quality Carpentry & Joinery teaching and assessment

* Plan, prepare and develop learning materials and schemes of work

* Monitor student progress, attendance and achievement

* Provide tutorials, guidance and pastoral support to learners

* Support course promotion, recruitment activities and open events

* Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement

* Undertake assessment and internal verification activities

* Promote safe working practices and maintain health and safety standards

* Embed English, Maths and digital learning into teaching activities

* Build and maintain positive relationships with employers and stakeholders

Requirements

* Level 3 qualification in Carpentry & Joinery, including NVQ

* Minimum 5 years' verifiable industry experience

* Teaching or training experience within Further Education or a training environment

* Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one

* Assessor qualification (A1/TAQA) or willingness to achieve

* Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills

* Experience using a range of teaching methods and learning technologies

A current and valid ENHANCED DBS is required for this role.
