TML Recruitment are partnered with a thriving and highly reputable London based property consultancy in their search for a Director of Lease Advisory. Our client are a well known, highly respected practice that are currently in a large growth mode with significant opportunity across their disciplines, including L&T, Valuation, Property Management and Agency. This strategic hire will be responsible for dealing with all landlord and tenant requirements and possibly some valuation work (depending on experience of candidate) fed from an active Property Management department, which manages numerous commercial buildings in and around Central London and the South East.

As the Director/Head of Department, the selected candidate will be responsible for leading and moulding the department along with their fellow directors who have a clear aim to grow. My client offers this unique opportunity at a time where expansion and growth is fundamental to their future plans so the selected individual must be willing to join the firm on the basis of being a major part of this growth.

The individual will be responsible for liaising with clients, preparing reports, and providing professional advice. They will also be responsible for reporting back to colleagues including board members and property managers. Your day-to-day tasks will mainly include inspecting properties, analysing comparables, and preparing reports for clients and for negotiations. Alongside this you will be mandated with growing the team with unwavering support from internal leaders of the business.

What do you need to be successful?

* Experience in Commercial Rent Reviews, Lease Renewals, Lease Restructuring/Lease surrender.

* Ideally experience in Dispute Resolution (Expert Witness work for Arbitrations, Independent Expert Determinations and Court proceedings)

* Experience in analysing leases and excellent knowledge of landlord and tenant acts

* Excellent communication and customer service skills

* Strong analytical and research skills

* Attention to detail and accuracy in report preparation

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and also autonomously.

* Ability and willingness to help more junior members of the business.

* Proficiency in relevant software and technology

* Experience in residential Lease extensions and Collective enfranchisement will be beneficial but not essential.
