Spencer Clarke Group are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work across a range of secondary schools. We are looking for enthusiastic, patient and dedicated individuals who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
Whether you are an experienced Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, Cover Supervisor or someone looking to take your first step into education, we would love to hear from you.
We work with a wide range of secondary schools, including mainstream, SEND, SEMH and Alternative Provision settings, offering opportunities from day-to-day assignments through to long-term placements.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you could be supporting pupils across the classroom, working on a one-to-one basis or providing targeted support to small groups.
Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting pupils with their learning and development
Working alongside teachers to deliver effective classroom support
Providing one-to-one and small-group intervention
Supporting pupils with additional learning needs and SEND
Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and academic development
Assisting with classroom activities and preparation of resources
Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
Supporting the implementation of individual learning and support plans
Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
