Elementa work closely with a number of schools in the Bristol area, the schools are always looking for LSA's and support staff and this can be as a general LSA, or a more specialist role that requires SEND experience or even HLTAs and behaviour support.
If you are looking for a new start in September 2023 please get in touch, and Elementa will be happy to help you find that new role.
As an LSA you will mostly be working alongside the class teacher to provide support to the children and in many cases on a 1:1 basis. The needs of the children can vary, and in some cases the children may have complex learning difficulties.
The ideal candidate would have experience in a similar role, or experience working with children in a similar setting. Applicants with Team Teach training or other positive behaviour management training may be at an advantage however free training will be provided should the role require it.
The role of an LSA can be a challenging one so patience, a friendly approach and a good sense of humour are required. A long with the skills to help the children learn and develop to the best of their abilities.
Elementa offer fair rates of pay, including paid holiday and free training.
Ideally, applicants should have good previous SEND experience and knowledge, particularly in SEMH and ASD/ASC, and how to adapt the education approach to ensure that high-quality learning still takes place despite not being a permanent team member. You would still be very much treated as a valuable part of the team.

This includes full vetting & background checks and application for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure (which may be chargeable @£52) unless you have a current Enhanced DBS subscribed to the update service.
