Vision for Education are working with a specialist school in Cambridge who are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work within a classroom setting for a September start.

About the role

We’re looking for a calm, nurturing Learning Support Assistant to support within this well-resourced, specialist provision in Cambridge. The perfect candidate will be motivated, calm and professional, ideally with knowledge of differing SEND provision and strong behaviour management skills due to the nature of the students' additional needs. This post would suit a patient, caring individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs.

This is a school that specialises in SEN and has a very warm and welcoming environment. They put the welfare of their pupils as a top priority and have a flexible curriculum to reflect this, ensuring they get the most out of their experience. The school is based in Cambridge therefore is easily accessible by car and has good transport links.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Learning Support Assistant-SEND you will:

Be resilient, engaging and friendly
Have a range of behaviour management skills and be able to adapt learning methods to meet the needs of pupils
To be able to successfully work within a team

Salary

£400 to £450 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

To hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to process one with us
To have relevant experience or training
