About the Role: Our client, a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Hornchurch, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join their team in September 2024. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' educational journeys by delivering targeted interventions and supporting their daily needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored interventions to support individual student progress.
Assist students with their daily educational activities and personal development.
Collaborate with teaching staff to identify and address student needs.
Support students with SEMH needs to ensure full curriculum access.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Participate in relevant training and development opportunities.
Candidate Requirements:
ELSA qualification (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) is desirable, or a willingness to obtain this qualification.
Experience working with students with SEMH needs is preferable.
Previous experience in a similar role within a secondary school setting is advantageous.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting students.
