Full-Time Learning Support Assistant - ASD Base ???? Location: Balham, South London ???? September Start

Reeson Education is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team in an ASD base at a mainstream primary school in Balham, South London to support a class size of 18 children. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of children with autism and contribute to their holistic development.

Learning Support Assistant Key Responsibilities:

Supporting Children with Autism: Provide individualised support and assistance to children with autism, helping them access the curriculum, develop social skills, and achieve their learning goals.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff in the ASD base to deliver tailored interventions and activities that meet the specific needs of each child.
Creating a Nurturing Environment: Foster a supportive and nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and empowered to learn and grow.
Implementing Strategies: Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans, using effective strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
Promoting Inclusion: Promote inclusion and diversity within the school community, celebrating the unique strengths and abilities of each child.Learning Support Assistant Requirements:

Passion for Supporting Children: Demonstrate a genuine passion for working with children with autism and a commitment to their well-being and development.
Relevant Experience: Previous experience working with children with autism or in special educational needs (SEN) settings is desirable but not essential.
Team Player: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
Resilience: Show resilience and adaptability in supporting children with diverse needs, remaining calm and positive in challenging situations.What We Offer:
