The Role – Learning Mentor
For this role, I am looking for a friendly and experienced Learning Mentor to work with students who have Special Educational Needs. The role will require you to work closely with students who have been diagnosed on the Autistic Spectrum. In order to build a rapport with the students, you will need to provide both academic and emotional support as well as encourage the students to take an independent approach to their learning. Due to the student’s needs, the ideal Learning Mentor will need to have experience working with children or young people who have SEN such as Autism and challenging behaviour. This role requires a full-time commitment on a long-term basis.
SEN School – Learning Mentor
This thriving ASD school is located in Uxbridge, Hillingdon and caters for students aged between 4-19 years old with Special Educational Needs such as Autistic Spectrum Disorder. The school is very small and has around 210 students therefore, class sizes vary from 8-10 pupils along with 2 teaching assistants in class. This school has good transport links and on-site parking available.
