Learning Support Assistant
Location: Aveley, Essex
Position: 2 x Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)
Year Group: Year 1
Contract: Long-term
A leading education recruitment agency is currently looking for 2 experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a welcoming primary school in Aveley.
The successful candidates will work within a Year 1 classroom, supporting pupils with high levels of SEND, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and speech and language difficulties, while also providing general classroom support.
The Role
As an LSA, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
Support children with ASD and speech and language difficulties.
Help pupils access learning and participate positively in classroom activities.
Provide general classroom support to the teacher and wider class.
Assist with pupils' social, emotional and educational development.
Help create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for candidates who are:
Experienced in working with children in a primary school setting.
Confident supporting pupils with SEND, including ASD.
Experienced or confident supporting children with speech and language difficulties.
Reliable, patient and nurturing.
Able to build positive relationships with children.
Confident working as part of a wider classroom team.
Available for a long-term role.
