Learning Support Assistant
Location: Bradford
Salary: £450 to £600 per week
Contract: Full time, term time only - September 2026 till July 2027. Monday to Friday 8:30am till 16:00pm

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support to access their learning. You will provide tailored academic, emotional, and practical support, helping learners develop confidence, independence, and the skills they need to succeed both in college and beyond.

You will collaborate with teaching staff and support services to ensure students receive the appropriate guidance and reasonable adjustments to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small group learning support to students with a range of additional needs.
Encourage student engagement, independence, and confidence within the learning environment.
Support learners in developing effective study skills, organisation, and time management.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement individual learning support strategies.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate support records.
Promote equality, diversity, safeguarding, and inclusion in all aspects of your work.
Act as a positive role model, helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience supporting young people or adults in an educational or support setting.
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Is patient, empathetic, and committed to student success.
Can build positive, professional relationships with learners and colleagues.
Is organised, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Has a good standard of English and Maths (GCSE Grade C/4 or above or equivalent).
Holds, or is willing to work towards, relevant learning support or education qualifications.
