Gold Education Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Chelmsford on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in education who is passionate about supporting children and helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support, work with small groups and assist within the classroom, supporting pupils with a range of learning and additional needs.

The Role

What You'll Be Doing

* Supporting individual pupils on a 1:1 basis

* Helping children access the primary curriculum

* Supporting literacy and numeracy activities

* Working with small groups on targeted interventions

* Helping pupils remain focused, engaged and motivated

* Supporting children with a range of learning and additional needs

* Encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviour

* Working closely with Class Teachers, SENCOs and support staff

* Helping create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

What We're Looking For

Applicants must have a minimum of 3 months' UK work experience within an education setting.

* Full-time availability

* Previous experience working with children

* A patient, caring and supportive approach

* Good communication and interpersonal skills

* Confidence providing 1:1 support

* A genuine passion for children's learning and development

* The ability to work effectively as part of a school team

Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, SEND Teaching Assistant, 1:1 Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor would be advantageous.
