About the Learning Support Assistant Role:

A primary school in Southfields is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Learning Support Assistant to join their team. The role involves supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) across Key Stages 1 and 2, ensuring they receive tailored assistance to thrive academically and socially.

Learning Support Assistant Key Responsibilities:

Provide Individualised Support: Work closely with students with special educational needs, offering targeted support to help them achieve their learning goals.
Assist in Classrooms: Collaborate with class teachers to deliver personalised learning plans and facilitate inclusive educational activities.
Promote Student Well being: Support the emotional and social development of students, fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.
Monitor Progress: Track and document the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents to inform ongoing support strategies.
Manage Behaviour: Implement effective behaviour management techniques to support a positive learning experience for all students.

Ideal Learning Support Assistant Candidate:

Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
Experience: Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly in a primary school setting.
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
