Position: Learning Support Assistant
School: Mainstream Secondary School, Thamesmead, Greenwich
Start Date: September 2023
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (until the end of the academic year)
Pay Range: £80.00 - £100.00 per day (dependent on experience)

Requirements:

Previous child-based experience.
Possession of an enhanced DBS on the update service.
Genuine passion for working with young people.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.

Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities, both inside and outside the classroom.
Collaborate with teachers to implement lesson plans and educational activities.
Assist students in overcoming learning barriers and promoting inclusivity in the classroom.
Support students in their academic progress, including homework, assignments, and exam preparation.
Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their emotional well-being and personal development.
Work alongside other professionals, such as educational psychologists and speech therapists, to ensure comprehensive support for students.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians as required.
