The School and Role

This ‘Good’ SEND school, based in South Tyneside, supports children and young people aged 4-16 and is looking to appoint a passionate Learning Support Assistantto work in either Key Stage 1, 2, 3 or 4 classes on a full-time basis. Working in this Primary and Secondary SEND school as part of an established team, the desired Learning Support Assistant will be working on a small class sized basis with pupils with SEND including Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties. This full time Learning Support Assistant role is long term from March ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.

Requirements

The desired Learning Support Assistant will have;

Experience of working with primary or secondary school aged children.
Experience of working with pupils with SEND or Autism.
A passion for the progress of SEND primary and secondary school pupils.
An ability to work as part of a team.
Level 2 English and/or Maths is desirable.
