Learning Support Assistant (College)
Maidstone | Full-Time | September Start
Do you have a passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed both academically and practically? We are working with a well-established college in Maidstone that is looking to appoint a committed and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join their team this September.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role. You'll be supporting students with their learning in the classroom, particularly in Maths and English, as well as assisting during practical sessions in outdoor agricultural and land-based environments.
About the Role
Provide tailored support to students on a one-to-one and small group basis.
Assist learners with Maths and English to improve confidence, understanding and attainment.
Work closely with teaching staff to adapt learning activities to meet individual student needs.
Support students during practical agricultural and land-based lessons, including outdoor activities.
Encourage independence, resilience and positive participation throughout the college day.
Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment for all students.
We're Looking For Someone Who
Has previous experience working with young people in an educational or support setting.
Is confident supporting students with Maths and English.
Enjoys working both indoors and outdoors and is happy to assist with practical agricultural activities.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Is patient, reliable and able to build strong relationships with students and colleagues.
Can remain calm, positive and adaptable in a busy college environment.
