This Learning Support Assistant role combines one-to-one support with small-group intervention work, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language needs, social communication difficulties and moderate learning difficulties.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Deliver tailored one-to-one support for pupils with EHCPs
Lead small-group interventions in phonics, reading, writing and maths
Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and learning styles
Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and outside professionals
Celebrate progress and help pupils develop confidence, resilience and independence

What We're Looking For

The successful Learning Support Assistant will:

Have previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant or SEND Support Assistant
Have experience supporting pupils with SEND within a primary school
Be calm, patient and able to build excellent relationships with children
Have strong communication skills and a proactive approach
Be passionate about inclusive education and making a lasting impactGraduates considering a career in teaching or educational psychology, as well as experienced Learning Support Assistants, are encouraged to apply if they have relevant school-based experience.
