Learning Support Assistant – Year 5 | Islington Primary School

This full-time Learning Support Assistant role will run until July 2027 and focuses on providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with challenging behaviour and additional neurodivergent needs. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and pastoral team to help the pupil remain engaged, regulate behaviour and achieve positive outcomes both academically and socially. This Learning Support Assistant position would suit a graduate with previous experience supporting children with SEND, challenging behaviour or neurodivergent pupils, particularly those considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, behaviour support or child development.
