Learning Support Assistant (1:1 ASD Support) - Basildon

Full-Time Opportunity with Potential to Become Permanent

Protocol Education is currently recruiting for an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a warm and welcoming school in Basildon.

This is a full-time role offering the opportunity to make a real difference to a child's educational journey, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role

Full-time Learning Support Assistant position
Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD
Supporting learning, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
Working closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

Previous experience working as an LSA, Teaching Assistant, or supporting children with SEN
Experience supporting children with ASD is essential
Must have the right to work in the UK
Ability to provide references from your last two employers
A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
