Salary: £14.26 - £16.00 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Bristol that provides a highly inclusive and nurturing learning environment for pupils with severe and profound learning difficulties. Supported by a large, experienced and welcoming team, the setting is committed to enabling every learner to reach their full potential through personalised support, creativity and a strong culture of inclusion.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time HLTA on a long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful HLTA will work closely with pupils with Autism, complex medical needs and challenging behaviours, delivering targeted support, promoting engagement and using a reflective approach to meet individual learning needs whilst working collaboratively with the wider teaching and support team.

The successful LSA will have:

• TA / LSA qualification or relevant equivalent experience

• Experience working within a SEND setting

• Knowledge of Autism, severe learning difficulties and profound learning difficulties

• Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviours and/or complex medical needs

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Energy, confidence, enthusiasm and a commitment to inclusion
