We are currently seeking a Learning Mentor to join the team at our SEND schools in the CR0 area. As a Learning Mentor, you will be working with students who have a range of special educational needs, including autistic spectrum disorder, ADHD, communication difficulties and severe social anxiety.
The successful candidate will have experience working with children and young people in a school setting, and a good understanding of the issues that may arise when supporting students with special educational needs.
Job Responsibilities:
To provide 1:1 support to students who require additional support with their learning.
To deliver small group interventions, targeting specific areas of need.
To work with teachers to identify and support students who require additional support.
To liaise with parents and carers, as appropriate, to ensure that the needs of the students are being met.
To provide support for students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with both primary and secondary students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and experience in a SEND school setting.
