The role

Orbit are delighted to announce that we are looking to recruit into two newly created positions of Learning Advisor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the People Development team, partnering with the business shaping and growing our Learning and Development offering. 

The People Development Team are in an exciting period of evolution as we enhance our learning offering.  This role is key to ensuring that our colleagues have opportunities to develop themselves as well as providing support to land new initiatives, processes, systems and change activity across the business as a whole.

This role is part of People and Strategy where you'll help us to build a culture and brand that people want to be part of.

What you'll achieve

As a Learning Advisor you will work with the People Development Partners to deliver on the learning and development plan supporting all business areas.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

Design and deliver learning interventions following the 70:20:10 model to develop individuals capability across the business

Deliver induction training for new colleagues joining the Customer Hub as and when required

Delivery of corporate induction to new starters joining the wider business as and when required

Designing blended learning solutions and work with the Learning Content Developer to create flexible and innovative learning solutions

Partner with the business in key projects and develop blended learning solutions to support the introduction of new products, services and systems

Deliver training at other Orbit sites as required

Deliver ongoing training across the business including (but not limited to); process updates, system updates, soft skills training, behavioral development, general upskilling.

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role of Learning Advisor you will be a confident presenter who can engage an audience as well as coach and inspire others as they learn a new role or develop their capability. It is also essential that you have:

Essential skills

Ability to coach effectively, deliver feedback and advise on appropriate initiatives as a credible L&D expert

Able to lead and motivate learners from all parts of the business and at various levels

A track record of creating and maintaining strong working relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues, both on-site and remotely

Applied experience of the L&D Cycle or applied experience of partnering with project delivery

A creative and agile mindset who can actively engage and inspire other using a range of learning tools, learning methods

Be curious and seek to understand the needs of teams and the business to ensure learning content is relevant, engaging and provides results

Desirable skills

Digital design skills in content creation and development

Learning and Development qualification

Coaching qualification
