Leakage Technician (Freelance) – Water Sector
Location: Hampshire
Rate: £19.50 - £20.50 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Freelance (with potential for permanent role)

A well-established contractor in the water sector is seeking experienced Leakage Technicians to join their growing team across the South of England. With a strong and sustained pipeline of work, this is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals looking for immediate contract work with the potential to transition to permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out active leakage control activities on water networks

* Use acoustic and electronic leak detection equipment to identify leaks

* Perform step testing, noise logging, and pressure management

* Accurately record and report findings in line with client requirements

* Work independently or as part of a team across multiple sites

* Ensure all work is carried out safely in compliance with industry standards

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Leakage Technician within the water industry

* Strong knowledge of leak detection methods and equipment

* Full UK driving licence

* Good communication and reporting skills

Required / Expected Tickets & Certifications:

* EUSR Water Hygiene (Blue Card) – essential

* NRSWA / Street Works (Units 1 & 2 or equivalent) – essential

* CSCS Card – preferred

* Manual Handling – preferred

* First Aid at Work / Emergency First Aid – preferred

* Confined Space Training (Medium/High Risk) – advantageous

* National Water Hygiene / SHEA Water – advantageous
