Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4pm (35 hours per week), term time only, 40 weeks per year + 12 weeks holiday

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant you will have the privilege to work with our amazing students in EYFS / secondary / post 16 areas. You will be an essential part of the team assisting the class teacher and wider team in delivering lessons and supporting students. You will be part of our children’s learning journey creating a safe and supported environment for them to flourish in their education and equipping them with lifelong learning skills.
As an active member of the team you can expect to…
* Support an individual class Teacher in preparing individual programmes and learning materials appropriate to the needs of the learners
* Prepare the classroom, activities and resources for lessons
* Support the class Teacher with the co-ordination and planning of staff
* Support the delivery of individual student programmes and learning interventions
* Encourage and support good classroom behaviour and supervision of children in the classroom, during structured activities, off site activities and free pla
* Understand the communication and support needs of individual students to enable and facilitate their learning
* Support student in their lunchtime and break times to ensure children are safe and happy
* Support off site activities as needed such as trips or forest school
* Support and record the amazing progress of our children
* Communicate on a daily basis with other colleagues, parents and transport providers to give clear and detailed updates on all aspects of the students at drop off and pick up
What you need to do the role…
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant certification
* Ability and commitment to work as part of a supportive and cohesive team
* Ability to contribute, follow and evaluate educational programmes set by the teacher
* Ability to co-ordinate, supervise and support staff activities
* Experience working within an SEND educational setting preferred
* Excellent communication and written skills
* Energetic and enthusiastic about SEND education and making a difference to the lives of our children
* Enhanced DBS check, references and occupational health checks
