Job Title: Lead Systems Integration Tester
Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 DOE 
Location: Cambridge - Predominantly site with occasional home working 

We're on the hunt for a Lead Systems Integration Tester to join a growing organisation who enable high-speed connectivity without requiring extensive fibre installation and are used in applications such as fixed wireless access, enterprise networks, and communications infrastructure.

They need someone to take ownership of the System Test Integration activities; think the planning, development and execution of the E2E system test plans and test cases to ensure product quality and diagnose any issues across the test environments. 

Things you'll be involved in: 

Leading the System Integration Test function within a matrix organisation, with Test Engineers working across multiple Scrum teams.
Developing and implementing system integration test strategies, plans and test cases for complex technology products, including interoperability and integration testing with customer and third-party systems.
Leading the development of automated system tests for new and existing features, while contributing to the ongoing evolution of the test automation framework.
Acting as Product Owner for the Regression Test Scrum Team.
Driving continuous improvement in the efficiency, quality and flexibility of system test activities.
Contributing to the overall test strategy, processes and ways of working.
Collaborating closely with engineering and test teams across the organisation.
Managing relationships with external suppliers and third-party testing partners where appropriate.
Supporting customer demonstrations, trials and validation activities.
Working closely with software, hardware and test leads to ensure successful product delivery.
Staying up to date with emerging testing methodologies and technologies within the telecommunications and wireless communications sector.Skills & Experience: (Essential)
Programming experience in C/C++, Python or similar languages
Proven experience in a senior software or systems test leadership role and experience building, leading and developing high-performing test teams.
Strong background in defining and implementing test strategies and experience acting as a Product Owner within a testing environment.
Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Expert knowledge of system integration testing principles and best practices and experience leading test automation initiatives.
Knowledge of modern wireless communications technologies; experience with 5G architectures would be advantageous.
Ability to think strategically and align testing activities with wider business objectives.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and a proactive, collaborative and adaptable approach.(Desirable)
Understanding of analogue and digital electronics, including radio frequency (RF) principles.
Strong working knowledge of Linux.
Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience leading small to medium-sized software development or testing projects.
Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including code reviews, unit testing and modular design.
Experience with modern development and CI/CD tools such as Kubernetes, Jira and Jenkins.
Experience using Git or other version control systems.
Understanding of cloud infrastructure, databases and their impact on system performance.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of network management protocols such as SNMP, NETCONF and YANG
