Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Lead Structural Engineer you will:

Provide steel weight estimates and concept designs in full accordance with project specifications
Work as a team member dedicated to fulfilling the design requirements of the projects
Structural design of £multi-million projects
Preparation of clear design specifications
Ensure drawings and structural calculations and analyses from colleagues and sub-vendors
Assist in the development of STAAD, SAP2000, other 3D CAD systems
Communicate with sub-contractors regarding contracted-out structural design work

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

· HND / Degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experiences

· Experienced in 3D analysis

· Knowledge of STAAD essential

· Background in large scale capital construction projects

Personal skills

The Lead Structural Engineer role would suit someone who is:

· Analytical and technical problem-solving skills with high level of detail

· Good communication skills with experience in communicating with international clients and suppliers

· Knowledge of Tekla, SAP2000, Caesar and SolidWorks
