Description:

Lead SQL Database Administrator required by my Sunderland client. This role would see you heading up a team of SQL Server Database Developers and would see you involved with full lifecycle database development and administration, with significant interaction with stakeholders throughout the business. If you have a proven background of Data Management and you're looking for a fresh challenge, then I want to discuss this opportunity with you !

My client is a highly successful property management company, providing housing for families throughout the North East.

The Opportunity
As a Senior SQL Database Administrator you will be involved with all aspects of data management for this business - leading a team providing data administration, design, development, performance optimising, data modelling etc. Typical duties would include :-

* Team Leadership & Development - lead & mentor your team of database developers. Coach, delegate, inspire ! You'll always be seeking to help train & develop your team.

* Database Design & Development - design, develop, optimise, to manipulate and deliver data when needed, with constant performance tuning

* Data modelling - liaise with stakeholders throughout the business to deliver data models as required

* Data Integration - support the deliver of data as required to any & all other systems, application & platforms

* Integrity & Security - you'll have responsibility for the security of the data, implementing disaster recovery strategies as required

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a passion for data - you'll have a proven background of SQL Server based administration & development, ideally with Cloud experience as well, and in this highly visible role an approach that will see you drive this team to further success. Additional experience would include

* Strong data modelling experience

* Experience of working with both on prem & cloud based systems (ideally Azure)

* Professional certifications would be very much of interest

* Demonstrable experience of leading a team of database specialists
