Leading rail main contracting organisation seeks a proven Lead Quantity Surveyor to join their York based team on a 24 month contract.

The role offers hybrid working but candidates will need to be in the office 3 days a week with the rest worked from home.

This role will see you work on a major rail programme so candidates must have experience working for a main contractor in the rail industry. If you have experience of working on rail systems projects this would be an advantage but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively administer Sub-contract accounts from project start up through to final account.-
Accurately report Sub-contract liabilities
Raise Sub-contract payments and issue notices strictly in accordance with contractual and legal requirements.
Provide records which identify progress, delays and controlled change management, contributing to event registers and entitlement documentation, so that timely actions can be completed

Job Requirements:

Experience working in contracting commercial department. Ideally working on rail systems projects
Able to provide guidance on quantification, costing of construction works and task elemental cost analysis
Appreciation of conflict avoidance, management and dispute resolution procedures.For more information contact Oli or just simply apply online
