Total People are looking to recruit a Lead IQA to join Total People's Quality Team

The successful applicant will be responsible for the quality assurance activities in relation to accredited qualifications across the Adult Education and Study Programme sector. They will ensure there are robust and compliant processes in place which adhere to Awarding Organisations and JCQ requirements, providing accurate, up to date and relevant information to Awarding Organisations within agreed timescales.

You will need to be driven, organised, and dedicated to managing a busy and demanding workload.

This post is offered on a permanent basis, working 37 hours per week. Due to the nature of this post you must be willing to travel to various locations nationally.

You will be required to work across delivery sites / locations and remotely. At Total People we have a team of dedicated colleagues on hand to support you and you will be provided with all the equipment to enable you to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities include:

Ensure the quality and integrity of qualifications being delivered in line with relevant Awarding Organistion requirements and Total People policies and IQA strategy.
Ensure internal quality assurance sampling plans are completed in advance and are implemented effectively to monitor the quality of all processes in the learner journey for your cluster, including:
Recruitment, induction and initial assessment
Planning for teaching, learning and assessment
Implementation of plans, ensuring learner progression
Assessment and Feedback
Achievement and progression planning.
Ensure sampling activity covers the full range of assessment methods, including observation of practice and feedback.
Carry out quality checks in line with the quality assurance sampling plan for your programme areas, report findings to the relevant Curriculum Performance Manager and the teaching and learning team, flagging "at risk" cases of poor performance / learner progress.
Support the Curriculum Performance Manager to determine appropriate caseloads for the sector.
Plan and undertake standardisation activities with Learning Coaches in line with good practice and Awarding Organisation requirements, maintain accurate and up to date records of standardisation.
Attend standardisation and CPD activities put in place by the quality team.
Provide learning coaches with feedback, advice and support, including professional development opportunities, which help them to maintain and improve the quality and integrity of assessment.
Lead on preparation for external quality assurance visits/samples, ensuring that appropriate learner files are available and ready for inspection. Ensure that colleagues from the quality team are aware of all visits and seek support from the quality team where required.
Where assessment takes place outside of OneFile ensure all records relating to IA, assessment decisions and feedback, IQA planning and sampling records are maintained centrally, electronically, and safely in line with Awarding Organisation requirements and Total People policies.
Keep up to date with current developments within the sector, for example registration and certification end dates, changes to qualification specifications, new qualifications, and share these with the cluster and quality team.
Take responsibility for the induction of new learning coaches on assessment and IQA processes.
Collect learner and employer feedback, sharing this with the cluster and quality team.
Where caseload warrants, if required carry out duties of the Learning Coach role.

Essential

Relevant occupational sector experience and relevant qualifications (at a level higher than delivery), and/or current updated CPD
TAQA, equivalent or to relevant sector requirements/ willing to work towards
IQA, equivalent or to relevant sector requirements /willing to work towards
Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths and ICT or equivalent
Excellent communication skills
Experience of coaching to support learning
Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload
Detailed understanding of End Point Assessment and GatewayDesirable

Experience either delivering, assessing or quality assuring on ESOL qualifications.
Coaching qualification
Knowledge of Government funded training
Internally Verified in the last 2 years
Certificate in Education, equivalent or willing to work towardsJob Specific Skills:

Communication - excellent level communication both oral and writes and interpersonal skills that support the development of collaborative working relationships within Total People and with external partners and stakeholders

Performance - proactively driving performance and engagement
Customers- ability to present Total People in a positive manner, persuading and influencing where necessary
