Lead Practitioner of English - Secondary English Teacher - Hillingdon

The Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Practitioner in English to join our passionate team. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving excellence in teaching and learning within the English department, ensuring that all students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide inspirational leadership within the English department, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Lead on the development and implementation of the English curriculum, ensuring alignment with national standards and best practices.
Support and mentor colleagues, providing guidance and sharing best practices to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
Monitor and assess student progress, implementing strategies to address areas for improvement and ensure all students are supported to achieve their academic goals.
Stay abreast of developments in English education, integrating new methodologies and resources to enhance the learning experience.
Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
Significant experience teaching English at the secondary level, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent results.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues to achieve common goals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for staying abreast of developments in English education.
