Lead P6 Planner

Description:

Our client, a leader in the water sector, is currently seeking a Lead P6 Planner to join their team in Colchester on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing processes to improve planning efficiency
Supporting client meetings to ensure clear communication and progress
Training staff on best practices and use of P6
Delivering internal and external reporting
Engaging with local operational management to ensure programmes are updated regularly
Ensuring contract compliance and adherence to pre-determined templates

Job Requirements:

Extensive experience in planning, particularly with P6
Ability to instil good practices within a team
Excellent reporting skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills to effectively support client meetings
Understanding of the water sector and its unique challenges
Capability to adapt to changing requirements and client needs
Proficient in training and guiding team members

Role Overview:

This role focuses on instilling good practices within the team and providing robust reporting. The P6 programmes are basic, and templates are pre-determined by the client. The planners function as data processors, are responsible for updating and reporting on programmes, and do not manage the programme delivery. With AWS being new to P6, the role requires adaptability as requirements frequently evolve. The current team is in its infancy, with this position replacing a planner moving to a new role.
