Lead Outreach Worker x4 - Rough Sleepers

£24,031.80 per annum, pro-rata

6 month fixed-term contract (1st May 2024 - 30th November 2024)

37.5 hours per week

About the role

Must be a car driver and willing to drive outreach vehicles.

We are looking to recruit Lead Rough Sleepers Outreach Workers to join our award winning outreach team, to provide housing and support solutions to some of the most complex and vulnerable people in the city. The role involves supporting clients rough sleeping or at risk of rough sleeping on the streets of Birmingham. The role is fixed-term, working 37.5 hours a week Monday- Sunday, with flexible shifts between 3:00am- 11:00pm. 

The role will involve undertaking extensive foot and vehicle outreach in all weathers through the whole of Birmingham. The role will require working professionally with a range of statutory and voluntary agencies.

About You

To apply for this role, you must understand the issues, causes, and solutions to rough sleeping.

It is desired that you will have a wide-ranging experience of working with single homeless people with differing levels of support needs and from different backgrounds and an understanding of the resettlement pathways that need to be in place to reduce rough sleeping.

You will be motivated by the desire to make a real impact on individuals and communities and will be able to work on your own initiative as efficiently as possible across many different locations.
