Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

A well-established facilities maintenance provider, renowned for delivering high-quality services across prestigious contracts, is currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced mechanical engineer with a strong facilities maintenance background to take responsibility for the mechanical services across four care home facilities throughout North and East London.
Requirements
NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
Proven experience in a similar Lead Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Supervisor or Facilities Maintenance role.
Strong facilities maintenance and building services background.
Good knowledge of PPM, reactive maintenance and mechanical systems.
Experience managing engineers, contractors and subcontractors.
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Comfortable working as a mobile engineer across multiple locations. Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day mechanical maintenance across four care home facilities in North & East London.
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services systems.
Maintain and troubleshoot AHUs, FCUs, pumps, valves, heating and chilled water systems, ventilation systems and associated plant.
Carry out routine inspections, fault finding and basic repairs to mechanical equipment.
Manage and support engineers, contractors and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely and to a high standard.
Complete PPM tasks in line with planned maintenance schedules and contract requirements.
Respond to reactive maintenance issues and minimise equipment downtime.
Ensure maintenance activities meet required KPIs, SLAs and contract standards.
Manage RAMS and ensure compliance with health & safety requirements.
Carry out regular site inspections and maintenance audits.
Provide technical support and guidance to engineers across the sites.
Liaise directly with clients and site teams, maintaining strong working relationships.
Ensure maintenance records, job sheets and reports are kept up to date. Package
£48,000 salary + package
