Salary: Up to £48,000 + Overtime Available
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking for your next leadership opportunity?
We are seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join a successful and growing engineering team in Peckham. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a supervisory position, leading a team of 3–4 engineers while remaining hands-on and technically involved.
Working on a prestigious site, you will be responsible for overseeing daily engineering operations, ensuring high standards of maintenance, compliance, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support a team of 3–4 engineers on-site
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance
* Ensure all mechanical systems are operating efficiently and safely
* Allocate and supervise workloads across the engineering team
* Provide technical guidance and support to engineers
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and site procedures
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and site management teams
Requirements:
* Qualified Mechanical Engineer (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship or equivalent)
* Previous experience in a supervisory, lead or senior engineering role
* Strong mechanical maintenance background within commercial building services
* Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Good communication and leadership abilities
