We are currently recruiting for a Lead maintenance electrician to work on a shift contract in the Central Manchester area. The maintenance Electrician will cover maintenance, remedial and servicing works within the facility, including lighting, power and building services. The role is a permanent position circa 41k salary.
The shifts are; 2 on, 2 off, 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 3 off. Day working.
Description
Within the lead electrician role you will be supervising and carrying out all planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across the facility.
Duties & Responsibilities
Supervision and lead on remedial works and planned and reactive maintenance tasks on electrical, control, basic mechanical and building fabric systems
To cover all electrical distribution, controls, lighting, emergency systems, building services
To complete PPM’s in line with SLA and KPI agreements
To provide Electrical H&S and compliance engineering
To undertake works on the power supply, lighting, power generation, HVAC, UPS, A/C units, etc
To support the other members of the maintenance team with ad-hoc tasks across all disciplines including fabric maintenance
For the lead role you must have experience supervising in-house staff and contractors plus organising compliance and logging associated documentation.
Skills & Background Required :
Recognised professional qualification e.g. City & Guilds 236 Electrical Installation Part 1 & 2 or NVQ Level 3
ideally 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
Lead or supervisory experience including RAMS and H&S / compliance paperwork and job logging
PPM and reactive maintenance experience
Ideally IPAF but not essential
Proven building maintenance experience within a commercial environment
Must be presentable and reliable
Lead experience
Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
Strong planning and workload management skills with the ability to manage short term and long term activities to agreed deadlines
