Job Title: Lead LSA

Location: Hillingdon, London

Salary: £180+ per day (DOE)

Contract: Full-time (term-time only)

A reputable Alternative Provision in Hillingdon, London (UB7) providing students with a unique curriculum to further student's education based on their ability is a seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Learning Support Assistant. You will be responsible to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment for Secondary aged Children.

Position Overview:

As the Lead Learning Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the educational needs of our diverse student body. You will work closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment where every student can reach their full potential. Your expertise in providing individualized support and guidance will be crucial in ensuring that students with special educational needs receive the assistance they require to succeed.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct support to students with special educational needs, including but not limited to academic, behavioural, and social-emotional support.
Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement personalized learning plans for students, tailored to their individual strengths, needs, and learning styles.
Lead and mentor a team of learning support assistants, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
Assist in the assessment of student progress and development, and communicate findings with relevant stakeholders.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported, respected, and empowered to succeed.
Work closely with parents, guardians, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
Stay updated on best practices and research in the field of special education, and integrate new strategies and techniques into daily practice.To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

Have experience working with/SEMH students (desirable)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting the academic and personal growth of all students.
Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, and to adapt quickly to changing priorities and needs.
Certification or training in relevant areas such as autism awareness, behavior management, or assistive technology (preferred).
Highly experienced in LSA or other leadership roles within schools.
Experience in management roles/leading/managing people and students
Eligible to work in the UK (must have a valid visa)
Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/Police checksEach candidate will be subject to a DBS and police check where required. A successful candidate will also provide at least two references from their previous employer/s.
