As the Lead Human Factors (HF) Consultant, you will be a pivotal member of their multidisciplinary team. Your expertise will drive innovation, ensuring that our projects align with HF best practices and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to create user-centric solutions
You will have the opportunity to join a leading, award winning technical consultancy delivering world class services in Support Engineering, Cyber Security & Information Assurance, Training & Leadership Development and Communications. Their work involves delivering forward-thinking training to the UK Armed Forces, to working in partnership with Tier 1 defence and security providers on some of the most significant defence programmes of recent years.
About the job:
They currently require the services of a Lead Human Factors Consultant on a permanent basis. This role duties and responsibilities will include:
Develop and implement HF strategies across Defence, Aerospace, and Rail projects.
Provide thought leadership on HF integration, safety, and usability.
Lead HF assessments, hazard analyses, and safety justifications.
Influence design decisions to enhance user experience and system performance.
Building strong client relationships, understanding their unique needs.
Apply HF principles to equipment and facility design.
Conduct anthropometric studies and ergonomic evaluations.
Prepare HF documentation for project deliverables and ALARP justifications.
Identify and mitigate HF-related risks.
About you:
You will have experience working with within human factors ideally within safety critical industries such as, Defence, rail or healthcare
Have experience of the Integration of human factors into design & engineering project
You will ideally hold a degree in either ergonomics, human factors or psychologyLead Human Factors Consultant
