We are seeking a Lead FPGA Engineer to join their team on a permanent or contract basis.  You will work at the head office based in the Bedfordshire area, where site presence is required 4 days per week.

The Role:

Lead FPGA Engineer is responsible for the success of the engineering activities within an integrated FPGA product team.

Key responsibilities include:

Lead the engineering aspects of the FPGA project or product line.
Manage the FPGA engineering team to deliver project outcomes.
Ensure that the outcomes for success are clearly defined and effectively communicated.
Ensure team activities are well planned, costed and scheduled in line with project remit.
Ensure the FPGA engineering team has a clear engineering plan that is documented accurately.
Work closely with the FPGA and Systems Design Authorities ensuring they are fully informed on technical progress and technical risks, requesting support as and when required.  

The Person

Proven experience in FPGA engineering management and delivery of projects.
Ideally hold an Engineering or Scientific Degree or equivalent qualification.
Familiar with latest FPGA verification methodologies.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience developing FPGA using VHDL or Verilog.
Experience using Mentor Graphics FPGA development tools including HDL Designer, ModelSim/ Questa and Precision.
Ability to analyse system/hardware level requirements and derive detailed requirements.
De-bugging FPGA designs and supporting integration and verification at hardware and system levels.
Good understanding of FPGA version control and revision control software.
Linux and scripting experience.  
MUST either hold current SC or be eligible to gain security clearance (5yrs UK residence).
