CK Group are working with an excellent private healthcare clinic who are looking for a Lead Fertility Nurse to join them on a full-time, permanent basis.

Cambridge.

Salary:

£50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.

The Role:

As a Lead Fertility Nurse, you will:

Provide clinical leadership to frontline staffing the implementation of the nursing services in infertility treatments.
Under the direction of the Clinical Director and fertility consultants, you will use your skills with regards to the care of patients undergoing assisted reproductive techniques through compassionate, informed and evidence-based practice.
This lead role will also involve the facilitation of the production and implementation of robust clinical polices that support and sustain evidence –based and effective nursing practice.
Develop and write protocols and standard operating procedures in accordance with LWC policy and ensure they are implemented and updated as practice changes.
Conduct ultrasound scans for fertility assessment, follicular monitoring, and early pregnancy confirmation.
Interpret ultrasound images, identify any abnormalities or concerns, and collaborate with fertility specialists to develop appropriate treatment plans.
Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing fertility treatments, including IVF, IUI, and egg retrieval procedures.
Assess patients' responses to treatment, monitor ovarian response, and adjust treatment protocols as necessary based on ultrasound findings.
Educate patients on fertility treatment options, medication administration, and self-care practices, ensuring they are well-informed and prepared for their treatment journey.
Assist fertility specialists during various procedures, including ultrasound-guided follicle aspirations, embryo transfers, and intrauterine inseminations.
Ensure compliance with professional standards, clinical guidelines, and legal regulations governing fertility practice. 

Requirements:

Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure and in good standing with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
Substantial experience working in a fertility clinic or reproductive medicine setting, with proficiency in conducting ultrasound scans for fertility assessment and monitoring.
Demonstrated competency in interpreting ultrasound images and identifying ovarian follicles, uterine abnormalities, and early pregnancy signs.
Excellent clinical assessment and nursing skills, with a commitment to providing patient-centred care and support.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate complex medical information to patients.
Flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
