The Role

You'll be responsible for producing high-quality LV and HV electrical network designs from concept through to approval and construction support. Working alongside project managers, utility providers and clients, you'll ensure designs are technically robust, compliant and delivered on programme.

Typical responsibilities include:

Preparing designs in accordance with DNO, IDNO, ENA and G81 standards
Managing technical approvals and responding to design queries
Supporting construction and energisation activities
Providing technical guidance to junior engineers
Contributing to design standardisation and continuous improvement
Managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high technical standards

About You

You'll have experience designing electrical distribution networks within an ICP, IDNO, DNO, utility contractor or engineering consultancy.

You'll ideally have:

HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering
3-5+ years' experience in LV/HV network design
Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, substations and cable networks
Knowledge of DNO/IDNO approval processes
Experience producing technical calculations and design packages
Familiarity with ENA and G81 standards
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
The ability to mentor and support less experienced engineers
Professional registration (or working towards IEng) would be advantageous but is not essential.

What's on Offer?

Opportunity to join a growing and ambitious business
Interesting and varied utility infrastructure projects
Genuine opportunity to influence technical delivery
Collaborative and supportive working environment
Long-term career development and progression
Competitive salary and benefits package
