Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Lead Category Manager for our Public Sector client.
Key responsibilities for the Lead Category Manager are;
Manage individual procurements as a project using appropriate project management principles
Liaise with and manage independent contractors, maintaining effective partnership working whenever external procurement resource is required
Provide specialist procurement support and advice to budget holders, commissioners and other partners
Ensure that procurements are conducted in line with the process required from the standing financial instructions, regional, and national rules
Require applying their skills at the level below as per the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework. The Ideal candidate for the Lead Category Manager will have;
A Level 5 Advanced Diploma in CIPS or its equivalent is required.
Degree or comparable experience or qualifications in the relevant field
A minimum of five years of practical experience in procurement, together with a thorough understanding of category management best practices.
A strong track record of effective delivery and relevant experience with regard to Category Services procurement
