Lead AC Engineer
£50,000 + Travel Scheme (£10k Value) + Overtime + Excellent Benefits
Are you an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer looking to take the next step in your career?
We're looking for a Lead AC Engineer to join a growing business, taking the lead on installations, maintenance and small teams while remaining heavily hands-on. This role is ideal for a Senior Engineer who enjoys mentoring others and wants more responsibility without moving into a fully office-based position.
The Role
* Lead commercial AC installation and maintenance projects
* Provide technical support and guidance to engineers on site
* Supervise small teams and ensure work is completed to a high standard
* Carry out site surveys for quoted works
* Support the operational and commercial teams where required
* Remain hands-on, with approximately 60–80% of your time spent on the tools
* Participate in a 1 in 7 call-out rota
Package
* £50,000 - £60,000 basic salary
* Travel scheme worth approximately £10,000
* Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
* Optional overtime paid at 1.5x
* Fuel card
* Parking expenses covered
* 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
* NEST pension
* £150 standby payment for the call-out rota
Requirements
* Strong background in commercial air conditioning installation and maintenance
* Experience leading projects or mentoring junior engineers
* Confident fault-finding and technical problem-solving skills
* F-Gas Level 3 qualification
* Full UK driving licence
